One of the ways we build our reading fluency and reading expression is by choral reading. Our whole class choral reads the same story 2-3 times a week. This repeated reading helps build reading fluency (speed and accuracy), sight word recognition, vocabulary familiarity and expressive skills! Whew! And we thought we were just having fun!
