To learn about the importance of bees and butterflies and birds in the pollination process, we made flowers of our own today.  The girls put cotton balls on their flowers and the boys put Cheetos.

We flew and fluttered around the room, from blossom to blossom, landing here and there on flowers we came to.

In the end we could see how we all were "pollinators" of Cheeto-cheese from one flower to another!

As much as we hate bee stings, we learned how important they are to our fruits, vegetables and flowers!  (If you look in the blueberry fields right now, many of them have brought in bee hives to help the blueberry bushes pollinate!!)
