We have to read for twenty minutes each night for homework, why not earn pizza while we are at it?
Riley J., Natalie, Alison, Kit, Ava, Hayden, Landon, Addison and Mayeli all turned in their Pizza Hut Book It forms for October and earned a free personal pan pizza for reading each night!

Carter and Aiden also turned in their forms for a free pizza coupon!

Way to go, BUGS!!

(If you missed out on October, jump right in and earn a pizza in November!)

The PTO at the Early Elementary is truly amazing!  Fundraisers like the Paw Paw Prowl help to make these events possible, but the volunteers who take the time and put in the long hours also make days like today possible.  Every student at the elementary level received a FREE BOOK of their very own today!

Students took time to pick out a book that was just perfect for them!

Not only did they want an interesting book...

...but they also wanted one they would be able to read over and over again!

After picking just the right book, students were able to take these books home to add to their personal libraries!

Thank you so much to all the parents and families who support our school.  A huge thank you to the PTO as well for making this event possible!

WE LOVE BOOKS!!

If I would change something in Charlotte web I would chang when Frane and her mom and Dad want to the karnvir because I don't like when a different pig got the gold medal.by mayeli

One of our reading stations (for almost every student) is Reader's Theater.  This reading station lets us work together in a group (a great life skill) on our reading fluency!

Our reading standards push us to read with good fluency (speed) and expression, specifically using different voices for different characters and Reader's Theater certainly helps us with that!

While we don't "act" out the plays, we do take time to read them to our peers!

While Mrs. Koehn loves all the reading practice this station gives each of us, we all think it's just fun to read plays together!
