We are learning how to measure using "standard" and "non-standard" units in math. Today we learned that the size of the units is VERY IMPORTANT when measuring!
Chan and Carter were trying to figure out how they got different answers. Working together (synergizing!) they figured out that I had given them different sized paper clips to use as units of measure! A little trickery by Mrs. Koehn helped the boys (and the rest of the class) to realize that the size of the unit of measure matters!!
