Officer Sam visited our classroom this afternoon. He talked with us about the Big 5 Safety Rules, which include: Always wear a seatbelt; Never talk to strangers; Don't put anything in your mouth that is bad for you or you don't know what it is; Never touch a gun and Never let anyone touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, hurt or unsafe.
He also told us about police officers and what they do and why. He told us about all the parts of his uniform and his job.
We really enjoyed learning from Officer Sam and we are glad to have him around our schools from time to time to help keep us safe!
